Vineyard located in Lujan de Cuyoat an altitude of 1020 meters above sea level (m.a.s.l.) at the foothills of the Andes Mountains. This altitude of 1020 m.a.s.l. gives a perfect balance between high temperatures during the day (improving the maturity of the grapes) and low temperatures at night (giving great acidity to the grapes).
Old vines of approx. 30 years old, allow producing grapes with a low yield that guarantees high concentration of aromas, flavors, and color. The vineyard has Alluvial soil, clay and sandy loams over gravel subsoil. Drip irrigation system using water from the melting snow of the Andes Mountains.
100% Malbec, 8 months aged in perfectly toasted French oak barrels.
Harvest: By hand in mid-April.
Elaboration process: 3 days of cold maceration followed by 8 days of fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 26 °C to 28 °C, then followed by a maceration after fermentation between 10 to 15 days.
Ageing: 8 months in French oak barrels, followed by at least 8 months aging in bottle. French Oak barrels of 225 liters each. Medium plus toast (M+ toast).
It has an intense red color with violet hues. Denoting a high concentration of grape.
In the nose, it displays notes of plum and dark cherries combined with a complex remembrance of nuts and wood, resulting from its aging in French oak perfectly toasted. In the mouth, it is both, elegant and balanced, with perfect acidity, flavors and tannins to match with any cut of red meat.
